Saturn Machine Knives Limited, based in Sheffield was
established in 2003 by Simon Jackson and Nick Collinson.

With over 42 years experience in the industrial machine knives business, we saw a niche in the market
for supplying wood chipper blades and decided to consolidate our expertise in this area.

Simon has 18 years experience in the manufacturing of machine knives and possesses technical experience
in CAD CAM drawing and manufacturing; Nick has 24 years experience in manufacturing and metallurgy.

Originally we started the venture in a small trading unit but after substantial investment we have now moved
into bigger premises which can house the specialist machinery we need. From the outset we were
determined to concentrate on a specific area of chipper blades, producing only high quality products,
using only the best available steel, and still offering savings of 40% on the original manufacturer’s prices.

Now with over £30000 worth of stock Saturn is the largest stockiest of wood chipper blades in the UK,
with most blades being available for next day delivery to keep customers downtime to a minimum.

Since the company was founded we have enjoyed continuous growth with steady stream of new
customers each month, and 50% growth each year, which we believe is a testimony to the
high standards we abide to.
